PFPID Nepal announces the call for Expression of Interest (EOI) from experienced and qualified experts to conduct training on Board governance and Training on Self advocacy/Rights.

Interested and eligible individuals or organizations are invited to submit EOI in the following address, mentioning “Expression of Interest for conducting training on Board governance and Training on Self advocacy/Rights” in the subject line in the following address: info@pfpid.org.np . The individual and firm can either express their interest for both the training or a single training. 

Final Deadline for submitting the EOI is 7th May. 2024

Objective of the Assignment

The objective of the task is to develop skills for persons with Intellectual disability on self-advocacy and board governance. Each training will be of 3 days and will be conducted in 2 places of maximum 25 participants.

Scope of Work

The scope of works may include following but not limited:

  • To develop a training manual on Board Governance and Training on self-advocacy for persons with Intellectual disabilities with consultation of PFPID-Nepal
  • To finalize the training modality encompassing the diversities of participants based on the training manual developed ,
  • To ensure all the training materials are arranged and are made accessible for persons with Intellectual Disabilities in consultation with the PFPID-NEPAL,
  • To develop monitoring/evaluation tools such as pre/post-test questionnaire, observation check-list etc. to measure the knowledge/understanding, skills and competencies of the participants in order to measure the learning outcomes of the participants,
  • To ensure that the participants have acquired knowledge, skills and techniques
  • To prepare comprehensive report on training delivery, along with the detailed assessments/evaluation Matrix  of  all the participants

Eligibility Criteria

  • Master degree in social sciences, gender studies, social work, management or a related field.
  • Specific knowledge or experience in disability studies, inclusive education, or a related field to ensure a nuanced understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by persons with disabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational management including relevant laws, policies, and best practices, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Proven experience in training design and delivery especially in intellectual disability.

Service Duration and Location

The consultant will be working in close coordination with PFPID-NEPAL team. The location and duration of the training shall be decided later.

After the assessment of the received application, the shortlisted candidates will be asked to prepare and present a small presentation. The final selection will be based on the aforementioned experience working with persons with Intellectual Disabilities and budget proposed for the task.
