Conducted training on good governance for the Intellectual Disability Association

Good governance training for the working committee of the Intellectual Disability Association was completed in Bharatpur, Chitwan on October 14 and 15, 2080 and in Rajbiraj, Saptari, on October 12 and 13, 2080.

The training was completed with the support of the Kopila Project under the Federation of Intellectual Disability Parents and with the support of Lev Inclusion Denmark. Raju Basnet, the president of the federation, explained in simple language how the office bearers and members of the working committee of the Intellectual Disability Association should maintain institutional governance and what actions need to be taken to maintain good governance. The participants were trained.

Akriti Sapkota, President of Intellectual Disability Association Lamjung, who participated in the training, said that the training was very fruitful and he got the opportunity to learn many things to maintain institutional governance. Another participant, Vigyan Laudari, Joint Secretary of Intellectual Disability Association Chitwan, said that the training instilled confidence in him and said that institutional governance will strengthen the activities of the organization.

A total of 21 people with intellectual disabilities participated in the training conducted in 2 places.
