Publication of study report and mobile app

Organized by Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal and in partnership with Leave Inclusion Denmark, the employment potential of people with intellectual disabilities and the launch of a mobile application program have been held in the capital. 

The program was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Women, Children and Senior Citizens Ministry Surendra Raj Acharya and the president of Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal Raju Basnet. 

Prakash Panth, member of the National Assembly and chairman of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, Dipa Sharma, member of the House of Representatives and member of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, Kalpana Maske Shrestha, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, and other special guests were present in the program. People with intellectual disabilities and their parents also participated. 

Part 2 book of Intellectual Disability and Inclusive Education, Simple and Illustrated Editing Guide 2080 and Facilitation Guide for Skill Development of People with Intellectual Disability were also released in the event. 

While addressing the program, Chief Guest Minister Acharya openly praised the organizing organization, Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal for the issue of people with intellectual disabilities. Likewise, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Communication Services Guideline 2069 for accessible physical infrastructure and communication services for people with disabilities, Act 2074 on the rights of people with disabilities and regulations 2077 in a timely manner. is working for He insisted that he was working to pass the National Policy for Disabled Persons by the Council of Ministers. 

Similarly, while speaking at the program, Prakash Panth, member of the National Assembly and chairman of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, expressed his belief that the resolution of disabled people has been passed and moved forward and that he will be determined to implement it. 

Dipa Sharma, a member of the House of Representatives and a member of the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, who was a special guest at the program, said that there is a need to include people with intellectual disabilities and all other disabilities in the process of development to make the slogan Happy Nepali, Prosperous Nepal meaningful. 

Raju Basnet, President of Intellectual Disability Parents Federation, Nepal, who presided over the program, said that there is a need to do a lot of work for disabled people who are confined to their homes due to intellectual disability, and with the aim of having general information about intellectual disability, the mobile was launched. 

Manish Prasai, an expert in the field of disability, and Pragati Khadka, an employee of the Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal, studied the study report on the employment potential of people with intellectual disabilities.
