Monitoring and evaluation report presentation of Kopila project completed

The presentation of the final monitoring and evaluation report of the Kopila project, organized by the Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal and with the support of Lev Inclusion Denmark, has been completed in Kathmandu.

Evaluator Ira Shrestha presented the report after independent monitoring and evaluation of the activities of 6 districts namely Chitwan, Saptari, Myagdi, Lamjung, Pokhara and Kathmandu where the Kopila project is running.

In the presented report, it was presented as a positive issue that the Intellectual Disability Association succeeded in ensuring access to local resources by conducting institutional capacity development training, that access to employment was ensured for people with intellectual disability along with the social participation of self-advocates, and that access to the local government was ensured through lobbying by the parent self-help group. had done

Similarly, he pointed out that more efforts should be made in terms of preparing pre-employment training for people with intellectual disabilities, access to employment with support services, preparing standards for self-advocates and preparing statistics including profiles of employers and people with intellectual disabilities who want to go to work. The program was attended by 25 people, including field officers of the project-run district, parent self-help groups, and self-advocates.
