Contributing to capacity development
Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal has completed a preface writing training in Sauraha, Chitwan from 28th of June to 30th of 2079 with the support of MyRite and Lev Inclusion Denmark and the organization of Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities for capacity development of its member organizations and networks. A total of 35 people (14 women, 21 men, 2 intellectual disabilities) from 10 member organizations of different districts participated in the program, which was conducted in two separate halls.
Organized with the aim of enhancing the access of member organizations to the resources of the local level and other agencies and increasing the funds, the training was facilitated by the facilitators Nirmal Bhandari and Raju Basne in a participatory manner through games, entertainment, group work, brainstorming, role-playing, etc.
On the last day of the proposal writing training, the participants prepared 10 project proposals. The member organizations will prepare the proposals to be submitted to the local bodies in the coming days and the federation expects that the funds of the member organizations will increase.
