Introduction writing training
The proposal writing training organized by the Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal and supported by Lev Incubation Denmark was held at Sunrise Villa, Nagarkot from 2079/03/18 to 20. On Ashad 20, the General Secretary of the Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal, Ram Narayan Shrestha, informally inaugurated the training by welcoming the participants. The Federation's President, Raju Basnet, clarified the rationale and expectations of the training.
The training, which was attended by 24 participants (14 women and 10 men) from Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Saptari districts, was organized with the aim of increasing access to resources for organizations working in the field of disability at the local level. The training, which was conducted in a participatory manner through games, entertainment, group work, brainstorming, role-playing, etc., was facilitated by Nirmal Bhandari and Raju Basnet.
On the last day of the proposal writing training, the participants had prepared six project proposals. The federation expects that the member organizations themselves will prepare proposals to be submitted to local bodies in the coming days.
