Completed accounting management training

Organized by the Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal and supported by Lev Inclusion Denmark, a 2-day accounting management training was successfully completed in Sauraha, Chitwan on 2079/05/17 and 18, 2079/05/18 for participants from the Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Association Kaski and the Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Association Myagdi.

The program, which began informally with the welcoming of all the participants by the General Secretary of the Federation, Ram Narayan Shrestha, saw the participation of a total of 23 people, including 13 women, in Pokhara, while 17 members (12 men and 5 women) participated in Chitwan. The training, which was conducted in a participatory manner through entertainment, group work, presentations, etc., was facilitated by the Treasurer of the Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities, Nepal, Shri Gokarna Prasad Acharya, and the Secretary General, Shri Ram Narayan Shrestha.

The training was organized with the aim of maintaining accurate records of the annual physical and financial activities of member organizations and contributing to transparency. The training was conducted by Mr. Gokarna Prasad Acharya and Mr. Ram Kumar Shrestha to teach and facilitate activities such as types of accounting management, Groshwara vouchers, Groshwara voucher group work, and learning games in a simple manner.

The program included an in-depth discussion on the basic information required for accounting management, and divided the participants into groups, taught them how to record transactions in vouchers, and record these vouchers in the ledger to maintain general accounting.

On the last day of the accounting management training, the participants completed the training with a promise to apply what they learned in the coming days to make their own organization's accounts transparent by completing the ledger book and preparing a balance sheet.
