The workshop on the advocacy strategy of the federation was completed

Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal has completed a 10-year advocacy strategy workshop in Kathmandu with the aim of advocating and advocating for the rights of people with intellectual disabilities.

Bhushan Raj Raut, program manager of the federation, said that the workshop, which was organized by Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal and supported by Lev Inclusion Denmark, was facilitated by Advocacy Strategy and Communication Consultant Rita Shrestha.

In the workshop, the participants discussed the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of the organization and prepared a 10-year advocacy strategy for the federation.

The general secretary of the federation, Ram Narayan Shrestha, said that the advocacy strategy prepared by the participants focuses on various questions related to the rights of people with intellectual disabilities including inclusive education, health, employment, personal assistants, caregivers, appropriate adaptations, and an action plan has also been prepared.

The workshop was held under the chairmanship of Raju Basnet, President of Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal, and 26 people including people with intellectual disabilities, parents and working committee of Federation of Parents of Intellectual Disabilities Nepal participated in the workshop.
