PFPID Nepal announces the vacancy for the following positions.
A. Position: Program and Finance Assistant
Number of Staffs: 1
Duty Station: Kathmandu
Required qualifications, skills, and experiences
- At least Bachelor degree Management, Humanity and Social Science
- At least one year working experiences in social sector in leading position with a proven experience of working with marginalized community. (Experience on disability related program management or implementation is an added advantage).
- Having experience of working with community level stakeholders such as Palikas.
- Having good knowledge on finance and accounting procedures
- Strong knowledge and skills of documentation, data collection and management.
- Knowledge and experience of day to day office operation, administrative work, document verification, organizing meeting, writing minutes, record keeping, staff monitoring etc.
- Good skill on preparing project related data-base, monitoring tools, storing and analyzing project related data in Excel or any other software.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication in English and Nepali.
- Candidates with valid driving license (2 wheeler) will be preferred.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Support the admin and finance officer in keeping track of the day to day finances and office administration;
- Support in maintaining financial records and accurate books of account, undertake journal entries and maintain proper financial documents
- Assist in raising vouchers, prepare checks and process payments in accordance with the standard practice including ensuring and monitoring proper authorization and approvals of each documents generated;
- Support the administrative works in the office including but not limited to the organizational renewals, seeking official approvals, updating membership of the organization
- Coordinate and manage the project related activities under the project
- Facilitate various meetings, workshops, interactions at community and district level
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to implement the project and carry out advocacy works.
- Carry out regular reporting under the planned reporting deadline and given reporting format and tools.
- Do other organizational tasks as assigned.
B. Field Officers-2
Duty Station: Chitwan and Pokhara
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain good coordination and working relationship with stakeholders, including donors, government bodies, local organization community people and other I/NGOs, in the program district.
- Develop monthly and quarterly action plan and submit to the Program Manager.
- Ensure the quality implementation of the program activities in the district.
- Prepare field visit report, progress report and financial supporting documents of district level program and submit to the Program Manager.
- Identify issues and rights of persons with intellectual disabilities, prepare cases and submit to the Program Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Science/ Public Administration/ Management/ Science and Technology. (Master's Degree preferred)
- One year of progressively responsible experience in program management, planning, implementation, reporting and budgeting.
- Basic knowledge in disability, rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, disability related international legal frameworks, CRPD, disability specific laws and policies, Sustainable Development Goals etc.
- Ability to lead and co-ordinate multiple offices through multiple step processes.
- Skills in writing proposals and communicating with donors..
- Skills of basic accounting and financial settlements.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication in English and Nepali.
- Excellent coordination, networking, communication, facilitation and report writing skills
- Knowledge and experience of day to day office operation, administrative work, document verification, organizing meeting, writing minutes, record keeping etc.
- Good skills and knowledge on writing advocacy letter, news, event reports, project report, case stories, success case stories etc. (in English and Nepali)
- Good skill on preparing project related data-base, monitoring tools, storing and analyzing project related data in Excel or any other software.
